Loose Ends Hockey Association
RULES COMMITTEE AND
LEAGUE EXECUTIVE MEETINGS
February 3, 2012 Meeting

1. This League's Rules say that unless otherwise stated
the GTHL Rulebook will be followed.

It is the responsibility of all team captains and league executive members to reinforce the need for every player to show respect towards all other players.

we all are out to play for fun and we all need to go to work tomorrow.

Our referees will be requested to review game sheets after every game to make certain all important events are properly recorded there.

Unless the League's Rules state otherwise, suspendable penalties will be dealt with as specified in the GTHL minimum suspension list.

Any appeals to the rules committee should be considered if they are about questions of fact, i.e. what happened, but otherwise the rules committee should not be debating what penalty or suspension applies.

Email requests by players recommending league action following game events should be addressed to their team captain. It is the responsibility of the team captain to first raise the matter with the Rules Committee Chairperson and then, if required, the other team captains.

Misconduct penalties shall continue to count as 10 minutes towards the offending players penalty totals.

Going forward, game records will reflect the difference between the different types of misconduct penalties (as specified in the GTHL minimum suspension list.
2. LEAGUE BANQUET.
Our understanding is it can be held at Ted Reeve Arena on April 20, the night of the League Championship Final Game.
Plans include a shoot-out competition for league players after the chanmpionship game and door prizes including a discount on next years league fee,
Details will be advertised on the league website as they become available.
3. GOLF TOURNAMENT.
Will be Saturday June 16th.
Location: Annadale Golf Course.
$90 entry fee includes golf cart.
Entry fee needs to be paid before the end of the round robin (March 30).
Details will be advertised on the league website as they become available.
4. DEPOSITS FOR NEXT YEAR ARE DUE BY THE END OF ROUND ROBIN.
This league is the best bargain available for players aged 30 & over looking for friendly, competitive, non-contact hockey played by people who value fellowship amongst the players and social exchanges between players and their families.

The fees historically are the best to be found.

There are a lot of qualified players would like to join in and play.

To guarantee a place for next year, current players need to get a deposit cheque to their team captain before the end of the Round Robin.

A deposit cheque is a $100 cheque made payable to Loose Ends Hockey Association delivered to your team captain before March 30.
5. Every effort will be made to hold, by May or June, a team captains meeting to deal with team composition (players changing teams, new players joining the league, etc.)
