Loose Ends Hockey Association
LEAGUE EXECUTIVE AND CAPTAINS' MEETING
March 11, 2011 Meeting

1. The same ice time will be available for the league for the 2011-2012 season.
-- Tentative start date is September 16, 2011.
-- After two weeks off at Christmas/New Year, the final game of the 29-week season would be April 13, 2012.
-- A proposed schedule will be drawn up as soon as possible.
2. 2010-2011 Year-End Banquet:
-- The preferred option is at the Ted Reeve Arena Banquet room the night of the playoff final game (April 15, 2011).
-- The availability of that room for that date is in question. We expect to find out within the next week.
-- If the preferred option is not available, the alternatives include once again holding the banquet at a local bar/restaurant and postponing it until April 29th (April 22nd is the Good Friday holiday).
3. The re-scheduling of the April 1st game is confirmed.
-- Because we do not have the ice at the Bubble April 1, the Dark Knights vs. Flames game will be played starting at midnight at Ted Reeve arena Friday April 1. Players must promptly leave the arena after the end of the game.
4. The Elections remain open for the selection of the 2011-2013 league executive.
-- Any qualified league members interested in participating should contact Vice President Steve Cross.
-- If enough nominees step forward elections will be held after April 1, 2011.
5. Open Ice / New Player skate: -- Will be held after the second semi-final game has finished Friday April 8. The estimated start time is 10:00 and the cost is $10 for new players. For more details please contact Steve Cross.
6. The league golf tournament date is June 18, 2011.
-- Tee time is 8:00 a.m. at the Annadale golf club. The $95 cost includes golf, cart and prizes. Foursomes will be arranged for those not entering as part of a foursome. Please contact Treasurer Mark Stoeckle (416-648-1957) for more details and to arrange payment.
7. RETURNING PLAYERS MUST PAY THEIR $100 DEPOSIT FOR NEXT HOCKEY SEASON BY THE END OF THE ROUND ROBIN ON APRIL 1.
-- This deposit is necessary if you want to guarantee your spot in the league for the 2011-2012 season.
-- While it is expected that league costs for next year will be similar to this year's, players who pay $420 by April 1 will not pay an increased fee for next season.
-- Titans players will receive consideration for the amount already advanced as part of their uniforms purchase.
8. The Rules Committee discussed player participation rules.
-- The substitute goalie rule will be reviewed prior to next season.
-- The question of roster flexibility rules will be reviewed prior to next season.
-- The Titans will be allowed emergency replacements during this year's remaining playoff games.
-- The team captains will review procedures for filling rosters in future cases of teams being short of players.
